The Medical Department of Geneva (now Hobart) College on South Main St., Geneva, N. Y. Established in 1835, closed in 1872. Here, 1848-49 Elizabeth Blackwell, first woman to receive the degree of Doctor of Medicine [In the U.S.], studied and was graduated. The building burned in 1877.
