 Class Day.

Things go on  in College as usual to-day.  No bolting, no disorder.  Class Day exercises at eight in Linden Hall.  The Castleton Band played.  I officiated as Chaplain.  Colt presided and announced the speakers.  Purdy gave the oration on “Manhood” and Jacobus the poem on “College Life”. Vielé made the special delivery and Olin received the paddle.  The exercises were unusually good.  No disorder about College, though there was ale.  The seniors serenaded us at three, returning from their supper.
